PwC adds new health and protection team

Published at 11:40 AM on 20 January 2015

PwC has appointed Naomi Saragoussi to develop its private healthcare and group protection advisory business. Naomi has more than 30 years of experience in employee benefits, especially in the area of health, wellness, private medical cover and sickness absence management.  Prior to joining PwC Naomi worked for Mercer Ltd for the past four years.

Naomi will be responsible for growing the health and protection advisory capabilities within PwC.  The team will focus on helping clients with the management of their broad employee benefits strategy, with a strong focus on employee engagement and financial effectiveness. Naomi’s appointment supplements PwC’s already strong pensions team, which is advising clients on how to get the best pensions outcomes for their people – especially in light of the changes to workplace pensions which will take effect from April this year.

Philip Smith, head of DC pensions and employee benefits at PwC, said:

“Naomi is a great addition to the team and strengthens our ability to offer clients wide-ranging advice on the best overall benefits packages for their employees. The huge changes to workplace pensions mean that many companies are reassessing their whole employee benefits package to ensure that their people are getting benefits that they value and understand at a reasonable cost.”

Naomi Saragoussi, leader of PwC’s private healthcare and risk consulting team, said:

“This is an exciting time to join PwC.  Our capabilities in pensions, reward and data analytics mean there is a significant opportunity to develop employee benefit programmes that deliver the real return on investment for the employer, by improving engagement, reducing absenteeism and ensuring overall employee wellness.”
