Possible delays to re-entry visas processing over the busy holiday period - Ireland

The Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) has issued an important notice for those who utilise the Re-entry Visa ahead of the busy Christmas and New Year period.
As this is the busiest time for processing re-entry visas, anyone affected who is planning to travel overseas during the holiday period are advised to make arrangements and submit their visa applications in good time.
Postal applications are normally processed within 10 working days, however this may be increased to 15 working days during peak busy periods.
What this means for you as an employer?
We would advise you to make any affected employees aware of the need for early submission of any required re-entry permits in order to prevent unnecessary disruptions and delays to travel plans around the upcoming holiday period.
