Managing Mobility in a Changing Landscape survey: interesting trends emerging in midpoint review

08 August 2016

By Sarah Mullen, Global Mobility Services Senior Manager

We're almost halfway through the live period for our survey that focuses on how organisations with globally mobile employees are tackling the challenges posed by less formally mobile employees and recent changes to international tax legislation e.g. BEPS.

We've had over 150 responses so far from Global Mobility, HR and Tax professionals from organisations ranging from small (30 employees) to very large (100,000 employees). It only takes 15 minutes to complete and we'd be interested to hear what you have to say.

Take the survey here:

The midpoint responses indicate that BEPS and PE risk are firmly on the agenda:

  • 51% of responders are planning to take steps to understand how the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting ("BEPS") Actions may impact their globally mobile employees, but are yet to make changes.
  • 28% of responders have seen  their organisation challenged by tax authorities on Permanent Establishment risk.   60% of responders are planning to make changes to mobility policies or guidelines in light of the changes in the definition of Permanent Establishment. .

What’s in it for me?

  1. Participation is free of charge, and you will receive access to the benchmarked data derived from the survey to allow you to compare your responses to other global organisations;
  2. A follow up meeting or attendance at one of our client seminars where we will report back on our key findings and thought leadership generated from our review of the data;
  3. Should you wish, the Global Mobility team can arrange a meeting or call with you prior to your submission to discuss any questions you may have and understand your organisational structure to ensure accurate benchmarking, and
  4. Once the responses have been collated and data analysed, they can also discuss your bespoke report and explain the results.
  5. We treat client confidentiality and data protection with the utmost importance. All files containing data are anonymised, encrypted and reviewed before we send.
  6. Information provided in the survey will not be shared with third parties.
