UK Economic Outlook - November 2011

This is the November 2011 issue of our regular UK Economic Outlook report. In addition to our usual detailed assessment of UK economic trends and prospects, set within a global context, this issue includes special features on:

  • Can business investment drive the UK economic recovery?
  • Regional household exposure to financial stress.
  • Whilst, our  main scenario is for modest GDP growth  in the UK of around 1% in 2011 and 2012, risks are weighted to the downside. Have you stress-tested your business plans and valuations against the possibility of a double dip recession?

We expect the recovery to be led by London and the South East, with regions such as Northern Ireland, Wales and the North East tending to lag behind. What impact could these differential regional growth rates have for your business?
