Isabela Souza

IsabelaSouza Isabela has over 12 years experience in working with sustainability and climate change. She has a large inter-disciplinary background acquired throughout posts held with the private sector, academia and NGOs. Currently, Isabela is the Global Manager and the Deputy Head of Technical Assistance / Lead Focal Point for Asia and Latin America at the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN).

CDKN is an initiative lead by PwC and five NGOS, ODI, FFLA, SSN, LEAD and INTRAC, with the support of the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and aims to help decision-makers in developing countries design and deliver climate compatible development by providing demand-lead research and technical assistance. Besides PwC, Isabela is a part-time lecturer at Birkbeck College, University of London, where she teaches a Master module on Climate Change and Sustainable Business Practice. She is also a guest lecturer at the UNPEACE CSR Leadership course.

Amongst her activities, Isabela writes monthly posts to the “Around the World” blog at Estado de Sao Paulo newspaper and she is a Trustee of Brazilink and PASS NGOs. She has a M.Sc. Environment and Development from LSE, a MBA in Environmental Management from FGV-Rio and a dual B.Eng. Mechanical and Production Engineering from PUC-Rio. Isabela is a British Council Chevening Alumni. She is a Portuguese native speaker (Brazilian). She also speaks fluent Spanish, intermediate French and basic Italian.
