About Tom

PwCPeople-TomI joined PwC in September 2007 on the School & College leaver programme as a fresh faced 18 year old. Coming straight from sixth form college meant  it was a steep learning curve for the first couple of years but PwC, my team especially, provided me with all of the support that you could possible wish for.
I work in the International Assignment Services (IAS) team in our Bristol office which is part of the Human Resource Services department. We’re engaged by our clients to assist their internationally mobile workforce with their UK tax affairs. Our clients are situated all over the world which means that we’ve built up a fantastic network with our global PwC firms. I can honestly say that the work we do challenges me on a daily basis but is also extremely enjoyable and rewarding.

The School & College leaver programme at PwC is a fantastic scheme that allows you combine gaining work based experience along with a professional qualification. For anyone who is considering applying for the programme, I’d definitely recommend that you do. I’m almost 5 years in to my career now with PwC, and have firmly established myself within the firm and have gained my Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification. I’m also currently half through my Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA) qualification, 2 down 2 to go!

Outside of work I enjoy watching and playing all sports, especially football. I’m a coach of a youth football team on a Saturday morning and play on a Saturday afternoon. I also enjoy travelling the world and hope to visit many new countries in the years to come.
