Associate, Technology Assurance
I joined the Data Assurance team which is part of Risk Assurance in August 2010, and since then it’s been a roller coaster ride, coming from a non-technical background, to being a Data Assurance technology specialist, conducting data work across a range of the firm’s clients. Prior to joining the firm, I worked for my favourite football team – Manchester United where I spent a brief amount of time managing projects and meeting some of the most talked about people from the football industry. I also have a master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Manchester.
Over the past year and a half with PwC, I've improved greatly on my technical skills and moreover, as an overall individual. I can proudly say that the PwC training and development programme is excellent and completely prepares you for professional growth.
PwC have given me the chance to broaden my skills in different areas including recruitment events, organising socials for Manchester Risk Assurance and the northern data team, playing in the PwC cricket team and other wider PwC events. I’ve also recently begun to take part in one of the firm’s community affairs programmes ‘Young Enterprise’ acting as a business advisor to students from Manchester Grammar School. PwC has surely improved my networking and business development skills by organising various networking events and socials along with bright graduates from different reputed firms across Manchester.
I live just 10 minutes away from the Manchester office and outside of work I enjoy working out in the gym, playing cricket, meeting friends, dancing and of course music.
