Aben on... exam and excitement!
December started with my first professional certification exam, ACDA –ACL Certified Data Analyst. As a member of the Data Assurance team, I work on ACL software –Audit Command Language, which is best known for audit analytics and provides solutions to the financial management community with effective continuous monitoring solutions. Since we use ACL more often for analytics, we provide an opportunity to all data team members to qualify for ACDA certification which adds professional services expertise in delivering quality and effective solutions to our valuable clients. ACDA exam was a mix of multi- choice questions and a case study covering all aspects of ACL. Overall the exam was challenging and I hope I get good news in the New Year when the results will be officially declared.
After getting this certification, I’d be more curious to know how ACL’s continuous monitoring solutions can be used in different ways to minimise risk for our clients and help in effective decision making.
Apart from the intense start of the month, the countdown begins for Christmas and I’m quite eager now to spend some quality time with family and friends. To add to my excitement we have our team Christmas event in 2 days. This will be my first one since joining as I couldn’t make it for the event last year. The event is for the Risk Assurance team in the North which primarily comprises of Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle. The last time the entire team came together was for the summer event in Harrogate. I’m sure it’ll be a good fun and I’m pretty excited to see my team members from Leeds and Newcastle.
Keeping the enthusiasm level high, I’m off to do some Christmas shopping today. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year in advance.
