The shortlist for the seventh annual Private Business Awards, sponsored by PwC, demonstrates the private business sector’s strength across UK regions and industries. Finalists include fashion, food, financial services and healthcare companies amongst many others, selected from hundreds of nominees.
We were looking for a company that had developed an innovative product or service with commercial viability. They needed to have an innovative and transformational idea, displaying creative thinking, and one that had beaten the competition.
The awards were set up in 2011 to celebrate the best in the private business sector and to underline its importance to the UK economy. The 6 companies shortlisted in this category employ more than 180 people, have a combined turnover of £180 million. The winners of this year’s awards will be announced on 14th September 2017 at the gala awards at The Brewery, London.
Richie Clark, Head of Corporate - Fox Williams LLP, sponsor of Technology Innovation of the Year category says:
"Sponsoring the Technology Innovation of the Year Award is something we feel really passionate about at Fox Williams due to our sector focus and recognised expertise in providing legal advice in the technology and FinTech spaces. This year features a fantastic shortlist of UK companies, each of which is developing profitable business at the leading edge of technology. It was also fascinating for me personally to be on the judging panel for this award, and was impressed by both the spectrum of industries represented by the finalists – from medical devices to crowd sourced data – and the breadth of creative ideas they are using to grow their innovative businesses.
Best of luck to the shortlist on 14 September 2017.
