Setting up your business overseas

By Mike Curran

In an increasingly globalised world, there’s an obvious opportunity for private businesses to move into new territories and open operations overseas. But what are the challenges a business will need to overcome to make a successful move to a new jurisdiction?

Recently, we met up with Nick Paine, Chief Financial Officer of Graff Diamonds, an international jewellery retailer who we have worked with to project manage and streamline the expansion procedure. We asked Nick about the experiences he’s had when opening new branches and subsidiaries in new countries as part of their global expansion. Graff has recently moved into new markets in the Far East, opening stores in both China and Taiwan. Read more about Graf Diamonds in the Private Business magazine article now on-line.

If you’re planning a move overseas and would like to find out more about the challenges involved, feel free to call Mike Curran on 020 7213 8190 or send an email.
