Budget 2017: PwC comments on plans to keep business moving

Published at 17:27 PM on 08 March 2017

Cara Haffey, PwC’s manufacturing and automotive leader comments on how today’s UK Budget can help keep business moving on UK roads:

“The Chancellor’s decision not to raise fuel duty for a seventh year will be warmly welcomed by motorists, hauliers and small business owners alike.

“Plans to freeze Vehicle Excise Duty for hauliers, alongside an almost £800m roads package to address ‘pinch points’ in the road network in the North of England and Midlands, as well as support local authorities in their bid to tackle urban congestion, will go a long way to keeping British businesses – as well as much needed supplies - moving on the UK’s road network.”
