Celebrating and rewarding the thriving UK tech market

The winners of the UK tech awards, sponsored by PwC and produced by Ford Sinclair Ltd, were announced at a prestigious awards ceremony held at The Park Plaza, Westminster.

The awards reflect the contribution all companies make to the technology sector and include not only publicly quoted companies but also fast-growing and innovative privately owned tech companies.

Jass Sarai, UK technology leader at PwC, said:

"I would like to congratulate all those that were short-listed for the UK tech awards and especially those who went on to win an award.

“The winners showcase the fantastic companies we have within the UK tech sector. It is extremely pleasing to see so many thriving private and public companies who are truly innovating and contributing in a meaningful way to the UK tech sector and wider business community.

“Our tech sector is booming, it’s relevant, and it’s growing both in terms of the number of companies but also those who work in the sector. We should be really proud of our community, the winners, the nominees and the work being done every day in making tech businesses more successful here in the UK. Through sponsoring these awards, we celebrate the success, reward the achievements and raise the profile of some of the great companies and individuals within the UK tech community.”

Looking ahead, Jass concluded:

“Our tech savvy population is a real differentiator. We embrace change and love new technology. We know consumers are already there but every day we are seeing more and more businesses and organisations looking to use new technologies to transform business models to remain relevant. Whether it be big data or cognitive technology, it is clear that there is a realisation that the pace of change needs to accelerate and the vision of the future has to be a clear starting point for any corporate strategy.

“In the fight for talent, stability and lower cost we are seeing the growth of technology in our regions outside of London which can only be a positive and the governments drive towards decentralisation away from London will only help here.”
