Celebrating the breadth and depth of the blossoming UK tech market
The winners of the UK tech awards, sponsored by PwC, were announced last night at a gala ceremony held at The Lancaster London.
The UK tech awards reflect the contribution all companies make to the industry and include publicly quoted techMARK companies, AIM tech companies and fast-growing and innovative privately owned tech companies.
The awards celebrate the success, reward the achievements and raise the profile of the UK tech community. UK’s technology businesses deserve to be recognised as a positive force for the economy.
Jass Sarai, UK technology leader at PwC, said:
"At PwC, through sponsoring these awards, we help thriving technology companies showcase the real energy, innovation and talent which resides in the UK. I would like to congratulate all those that were short-listed for the UK tech awards and especially those who went on to win an award at yesterday’s gala dinner and awards ceremony.
“All the winners listed demonstrate the breadth of the UK tech landscape, where we have AIM and private companies on the winners list, whilst our largest FTSE100 stalwart still remains a global industry leader. It is interesting to note that all of this year’s winners are from key technology hubs around the UK – London, Cambridge, Thames Valley and Scotland.
“Developing an innovative product or service is not enough to secure and maintain a leadership position in today’s market. Technology companies need to think beyond technology enhancement and focus on breakthrough innovations which will truly disrupt and shift the playing field in their favour. Companies must have an innovation strategy, which separates them from the competition and makes them stand out from the crowd.”
