HealthTech: Transforming health through scalable innovation
18 April 2017
The healthcare landscape is rapidly changing and we truly believe that smart collaborations and partnerships are key to its success. We are excited to support emerging talent on their growth journey as they shape the market and as such we have partnered with UP to deliver the Future of Health; a unique scale-up programme to identify and nurture fast-growth health startups.
With the programme hub in Salford, Greater Manchester, it is split across two recognised major innovative health locations, the other being London. Partnering with both Bupa and the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust has given startups access to some of the world’s leading Private and Public sector brands, enabling them to navigate into and discover opportunities with large organisations.
The exclusive executive mentor event 29th March marked the official launch of the programme, where the cohort of high potential health scale-ups pitched their business to a room of carefully curated industry decision makers who are looking to collaborate with their innovative ideas and solutions.
The startups have already taken part in a masterclasses from some of the leading specialists both within and outside the industry, providing advice on sales & marketing through to navigating the public/private sector. This is combined this with extensive corporate introductions and guidance from industry specialists within PwC and UP, aimed to increase the sales pipeline. Over the coming weeks the companies involved will be meeting executives one on one to develop any potential pilots and commercial opportunities, before pitching to investors and the wider community in both Manchester and London.
The evening, hosted at The Landing, MediaCityUK, saw our Spring Cohort consisting of 9 promising health scale-ups from around the World, pitch their business and showcase their products to a selected audience of cross industry executives.
