Alex is a senior tax partner at PwC. He has over 20 years professional experience and focuses on designing and implementing business and investment structures for clients which require a high degree of technical input and coordination of multiple professional advisors (accountants, lawyers, actuaries, valuers, corporate finance advisors) and typically a variety of jurisdictions and stakeholders.
Alex has particular expertise in pension funding deficit solutions for corporates and in non-corporate structures such as partnerships, LLPs and trusts and the interactions between different structures and stakeholders. He advises on a wide range of UK, EU and International tax issues and covers the full project cycle from initial evaluation through technical analysis to implementation, reporting and agreement with tax authorities. His clients range from individuals and privately owned businesses to FTSE 100 companies and cover a wide range of business sectors including retail, construction and development and financial services.
As well as client work Alex is interested in broader issues involving business investment and growth and is involved in a variety of tax policy issues and consultations on new developments. Alex is a regular commentator in the press and on radio and television covering a broad range of tax, human resource and business issues.
Alex a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor and is an Associate Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (winning prizes and/or distinctions from all three bodies).
